Programmes on European Uniosn Issues

One of the main fields of activity of CAPA concerns the strengthening of the capacity of the public service to operate effectively as part of the new institutional system of the European Union. This is achieved through learning activities which provide public officers with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to perform their roles successfully at this supranational level and assist public service organizations in the development of the necessary mechanisms for communication, co-ordination and effective participation in the European Union decision making procedures, programmes and initiatives. CAPA activities in this area cover a wide spectrum of programmes: •Foundation training programmes on EU issues •Specialized courses on harmonization with EU acquis •Workshops on the management and organizational implications of EU membership for the public service •Programmes promoting effective participation in EU Institutions
