The Department of Customs and Excise consists of the Customs and the VAT Service. It falls within the domain of the Ministry of Finance. It is responsible for the effective implementation of the Customs and VAT legislation. As a result of the implementation of this legislation, the Department collects customs and excise duties, VAT on imports and on taxable transactions within the Republic.
Customs and V.A.T. Headquarters are situated in the building of the Ministry of Finance, in the following address: M.Karaoli and Gr. Afxentiou corner, in Nicosia.
