All travelers entering or leaving the Republic of Cyprus with cash or gold of value of €10 000 or more must declare it to Customs in order to comply with European Regulation (EC) No 1889/2005 applicable from 15 June 2007 or with the Control of Cash Entering or Leaving the Community and the Exercising of Intra - Community Cash Controls Law No. 53(I) of 2009.
