The Statistical Service announces that the evolution of the HICP for December 2009 is as follows:

The rate of inflation for December 2009 rose to 1,6% compared to 1,0% in November 2009 and 1,8% in December 2008.

For the period January-December 2009, the HICP recorded an increase of 0,2% compared to the corresponding period of 2008.
