New Publication: Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (summarised data), Oct 2009

The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly report “Intra-Extra E.U Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for October 2009.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

(a) Total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) in January-October 2009 amounted to €4.698,9mn as compared to €6.256,6mn in January-October 2008. Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other Member States) in January-October 2009 were €804,5mn compared to €986,1mn in January-October 2008. The trade deficit was €3.894,4mn in January-October 2009 compared to €5.270,6mn in January-October 2008.

(b) During October 2009 total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) valued at €475,6mn.

(c) Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other Member States), including stores and provisions, in October 2009 amounted to €84,9mn. Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were €38,3mn whilst exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were €46,6mn.

The monthly report “Intra-Extra E.U Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for October 2009 is available from the Printing Office of the Republic of Cyprus in Nicosia at the price of €3,00. The report is also available for download free of charge from the website of the Statistical Service, under the Section “Publications” (Category: Monthly Publications, Theme: External Trade, Subtheme: All).
