Latest Figures: Revenue from Tourism, July 2017
On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey, revenue from tourism reached €425,7 mn in July 2017 compared to €402,2 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording an increase of 5,8%.
For the period of January – July 2017 revenue from tourism is estimated at €1.422,1 mn compared to €1.233,4 mn in the corresponding period of 2016, recording an increase of 15,3%.
The expenditure per person for July 2017 reached €801,63 compared to €834,25 in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a decrease of 3,9%. The expenditure per person/per day for July 2017 compared to July 2016 also recorded a decrease of 5,9%.
In July 2017 a decrease of 4,2% was recorded for the expenditure per person for tourists from the United Kingdom (from €922,67 in July 2016 to €883,70 in July 2017), 5,8% decrease from Russia (from €862,44 to €812,43 this year) and 6,2% increase from Israel (from €669,94 to €711,39 this year).
The expenditure per person/per day for tourists from the United Kingdom recorded a decrease of 4,2% (from €85,43 in July 2016 to €81,82 in July 2017), the expenditure per person/per day for tourists from Russia decreased by 15,9% (from €93,74 to €78,88) and for tourists from Israel also decreased by 3,5% (from €133,99 to €129,34).
