Latest Figures: Revenue from Tourism, Apr 2017
On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey, revenue from tourism reached €189,6 mn in April 2017 compared to €137,9 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording an increase of 37,5%.
For the period of January – April 2017 revenue from tourism is estimated at €357,7 mn compared to €285,5 mn in the corresponding period of 2016, recording an increase of 25,3%.
The expenditure per person for April 2017 reached €662,06 compared to €611,37 in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording an increase of 8,3%. The expenditure per person/per day for April 2017 compared to April 2016 recorded an increase of 4,6%.
In April 2017 an increase of 3,3% was recorded for the expenditure per person for tourists from the United Kingdom (from €702,59 in April 2016 to €725,67 in April 2017), 19,6% increase from Russia (from €653,62 to €782,05 this year) and 26,5% increase from Germany (from €586,57 to €742,17 this year).
The expenditure per person/per day for tourists from the United Kingdom recorded an increase of 5,4% (from €70,97 in April 2016 to €74,81 in April 2017), the expenditure per person/per day for tourists from Russia increased by 6,5% (from €80,69 to €85,94) and for tourists from Germany it increased by 9,0% (from €72,42 to €78,95).
