New Electronic Publication: Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (summarised data), Sep 2016

The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the new monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for September 2016.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

(a) Total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other EU Member States) in January-September 2016 amounted to €4.355,5mn as compared to €3.857,9mn in January-September 2015. Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other EU Member States) in January-September 2016 were €1.229,8mn compared to €1.353,0mn in January-September 2015. The trade deficit was €3.125,7mn in January-September 2016 compared to €2.504,9mn in the corresponding period of 2015.

(b) During September 2016 total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other EU Member States) valued at €454,4mn.

(c) Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other EU Member States), including stores and provisions, in September 2016 amounted to €151,0mn. Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were €90,2mn whilst exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were €60,8mn.
