Latest Figures: Imports, Sales and Stocks of Petroleum Products, Jan 2021

In January 2021, the total sales of petroleum products amounted to 89.362 tonnes, recording a decrease of 31,8% compared to January 2020. Decreases were observed in the sales of motor gasoline by 34,0%, gasoil low sulphur by 13,7% and in the provisions of aviation kerosene by 81,2%. As far as the sales from filling stations are specifically concerned, these have registered a decline of 25,8% to 45.030 tonnes.

The total sales of petroleum products in January 2021 compared to December 2020 recorded a drop of 14,6%. A decrease was recorded in the sales of motor gasoline, gasoil low sulphur, asphalt, liquefied petroleum gases, as well as in the provisions of aviation kerosene. On the contrary, an increase was observed in the sales of heavy and light fuel oil, kerosene, gasoil and in the provisions of gasoil for marine use.

The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of January 2021 recorded an increase of 1,1% compared to the end of the previous month.
