New Publication: Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (summarised data), Aug 2011

The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly report “Intra-Extra E.U Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for August 2011.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

(a) Total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) in January-August 2011 amounted to €4.265,0mn as compared to €4.190,8mn in January-August 2010. Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other Member States) in January-August 2011 were €921,7mn compared to €707,3mn in January-August 2010. The trade deficit was €3.343,3mn in January-August 2011 compared to €3.483,4mn in the corresponding period of 2010.

(b) During August 2011 total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) valued at €596,1mn.

(c) Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other Member States), including stores and provisions, in August 2011 amounted to €104,2mn. Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were €44,3mn whilst exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were €59,9mn.

The monthly report “Intra-Extra E.U Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for August 2011 is available from the Printing Office of the Republic of Cyprus in Nicosia at the price of €3,00. The report is also available for download free of charge from the website of the Statistical Service.
