The main objectives of the supervision exercised by the Superintendent of Insurance are:

(1) protecting  policy holders and insurance beneficiaries;

(2) ensuring the smooth operation of the private insurance market and consolidating consumer confidence; and

(3) safeguarding financial stability in Cyprus.
