Welcome to the Cyprus Customs website. Cyprus Customs and the Value Added Tax (VAT) Service make up the Department of Customs and Excise, which falls under the Ministry of Finance. The Director General of Customs is Ms Zeta Emilianidou.

In general terms Customs is responsible mainly for the imposition and collection of duties and taxes on goods, the safeguarding of the supply chain of goods, the enforcement of restrictions and prohibitions on goods imported, exported or in transit and the protection of the consumers health and safety.
