On the 9th May 2023, the European Union will celebrate Europe Day, the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration of 9 May 1950. To mark this special day, the EU institutions, including EU missions and delegations around the world, will organize a variety of online and on-site activities, giving citizens the opportunity to discover and experience the importance of the EU.
To celebrate the day, the Representation of the European Commission and the European Parliament Office in Cyprus, in collaboration with the Press and Information Office, are organizing an event in Nicosia, which will take place
in Elefteria Square in Nicosia, on Saturday 13 May 2023, at 10:00 - 13:30.
At the event, the public will have the opportunity to get acquainted with European priorities, initiatives and programs, and to visit the booths of European countries, participate in interactive games and activities for children, watch artistic events etc.
The Directorate General Growth, as the Coordinating Authority for the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), will participate in the event with its own booth and give information about the RRP, offer "green" gifts and also provide an interactive short quiz with easy questions about the Cyprus RRP.
