In 2011 CAPA proceeded with the application of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) on itself. The self-assessment was carried out by a specially selected and trained representative CAPA team. CAF is a quality management tool adopted by the EU, for the self-assessment of Public Sector organizations. It constitutes a dynamic framework of principles and processes, with assessment criteria and sub-criteria, on the basis of which an organization conducts a self-assessment, leading eventually to an action plan for implementing improvements.
The final report prepared by CAPA’s self-assessment team on completion of its work was presented to all CAPA staff. Subsequently, the findings were utilized for CAPA’s strategic planning, which was carried out through the use of the Balanced Scorecard.
